Accommodation

The wedding will take place at a Ak'iin beach club in Tulum. Most hotels in Tulum are small 'eco-chic' hotels with limited bedrooms (some leaning more towards the 'eco' side and some others towards the 'chic' side; but all of them with ecological practices). Beach front hotels tend to be considerably more expensive than the ones in Tulum city center, which is about 10-15 minutes drive from the beach. Many hotels offer bike rentals or borrowings. A taxi to the beach area costs between $120-170 pesos (6-10 usd) depending on which part of the beach you're going to. There are public beaches and some beach clubs you can visit if you stay at the city center. Don't let taxi drivers over charge you just because you're a tourist (no need to be rude, though). You can always tip them $20 pesos or so, if you feel like it.

After quite some research, looks like the best hotel accommodation offers (if you book with a considerable period of time in advance) are through booking.com. You need to remember that they only have a specific amount of rooms available at a special rate. So, the sooner you book it, the more options and better prices you'll find. The prices on booking.com are actually cheaper than the ones published on most of the individual hotel web pages in Tulum. If you happen to find that one hotel that you liked on booking.com is sold out, you can always go directly to the hotel's website; you'll probably find more rooms available.

For apartment rentals there is airbnb.com and homeaway.com.
