Cenotes

A cenote "se no te" is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Especially associated with the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, cenotes were sometimes used by the ancient Maya for spiritual rituals.

There are lots of great cenotes to visit around Tulum. Make sure to bring your bathing costume so you can take a dip in the 'bluer than blue' waters!
