Take the Bus
The bus company named ADO has buses from Cancún Airport to Tulum in 5 different times: 00.30, 10.45, 12.25, 16.15, 21.30. The travel duration is 2 hours to the bus central station in Tulum. You will have to take a taxi from there to your hotel. The price for the single bus ticket is $228 pesos (about 12 usd).
There are buses form Cancún airport to Playa del Carmen every hour or so. You can there take another bus to Tulum. They leave every half an hour or so. That's another option. Playa del Carmen is about half way from the Airport to Tulum.
